He has a couple of other Subaru 360 van projects going but that's his daily. Ah - and the title should be 1969 Subaru 360 Van. The "Sambar" is the japanese name and although technically does refer to the van, the "sambar" title really only stuck to the pickup style over here in the states. Mark works on everything (does a great job on my old Electravan) but has a soft spot for microcars and holds the NW Microcar weekend every year out in Forest Grove - it's killer! He also has a couple of the 360 Sedans, one with a flame paint job and actually the other is a little inside joke - it has an Abarth scorpion painted on it. I think he drives that one to poke fun at us Fiat guys. If you want to see something funny, look at his videos of this van pulling a food cart trailer. Cutest thing ever.Jay Billsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112355325821745788.post-23160011070300268082012-09-08T11:37:14.980-07:002012-09-08T11:37:14.980-07:00so awesomely small, yet so big on character. I always wondered what the payload was on these micro vans and pickups. small cars powered by motorcycle sized engines = so much awesomeness!!the down side is you would get crumpled like a beer can if you got hit by the average boulevard cruiser, suv or semi.great white tiburonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00663487163589750583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112355325821745788.post-56123307780628857992012-09-08T11:36:24.592-07:002012-09-08T11:36:24.592-07:00The guy who owns this Sambar posts on Youtube unde...The guy who owns this Sambar posts on Youtube under the name of 2stroketurbo. He's quite the microcar nut, and he owns a number of microcars and a garage that may or may not cater exclusively to them (I can't remember). He posts videos of projects (like his current one, putting a Honda motorcycle engine into a Honda 600 microcar), shows he goes to, and other vlog-like content. It is pretty cool in my opinion, that's why I'm subscribed to him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
