If you're driving south on a certain close-in East Portland thoroughfare, you'll catch a glimpse of this sunbaked red-orange Scirocco off to your right, parked in front of a tan-and-white house. (It lives two blocks from my office, and I first photographed it
almost four years ago to the day.) Here's the thing: Continue south on that same stretch of road, and about 10 blocks later, you'll pass through a paranormal vortex, and the car will magically re-appear in the
exact same location, parked in front of another,
miraculously similar tan-and-white house. I kid you not.
I've been meaning to document this supernatural phenomenon for about a year, but the cosmos always conspired against me. Yesterday morning I finally found myself on this route with enough time to pull over for both cars, and the light was just right. Photos don't lie!
