If you're driving south on a certain close-in East Portland thoroughfare, you'll catch a glimpse of this sunbaked red-orange Scirocco off to your right, parked in front of a tan-and-white house. (It lives two blocks from my office, and I first photographed it almost four years ago to the day.) Here's the thing: Continue south on that same stretch of road, and about 10 blocks later, you'll pass through a paranormal vortex, and the car will magically re-appear in the exact same location, parked in front of another, miraculously similar tan-and-white house. I kid you not.
I've been meaning to document this supernatural phenomenon for about a year, but the cosmos always conspired against me. Yesterday morning I finally found myself on this route with enough time to pull over for both cars, and the light was just right. Photos don't lie!

OPC's 700th post! 1976.5 Volkswagen Super Scirocco.
The owner told me this mid year revision marked the introduction of fuel injection for the Scirocco. It was really great to see how much he appreciated and enjoyed this beauty.
