Oh *man*, I completely forgot that ElCams like this used to commonly roll on the streets. These photos opened entire forgotten rooms of my memory. Anymore the only Colonnade El Caminos I ever still see are SS clones at shows and auctions. (I'm in the rust belt.) I've kind of normalized them. It had blocked all memory of workaday El Caminos with fake woodgrain.

I NEVER remember seeing this kind of El Camino, even back in the day (Maybe I just didn't notice- I've never been an El fan). But this thing has to be the epitome of the 70's, what with all that woodgrain and that other color! (Refrigerators used to be available in almost that samecolor in the 70's! That color, puke green or bright yellow- Not the best choices, but sure beats these days of everything being either black, white or silver! ) -Too bad this El didn't have a vintage fridge in the bed!

that plastic wood grain has held up surprisingly well.

Never particularly care for the 73–77 midsize General Motors cars as compared to its former bodies 68-72. I'm looking at these above pictures especially picture number three & this body style has a unique look to it when it comes to comes to a pick up truck ( or whatever it is called )

Being from the UK, never seen one of these in real life. But man, what a nice but strange looking car.

Colonnade bodystyle Elco with woodgrain, it doesn't get much more Malaise era than that.

I wish Dodge would've come out with a competitor for the Chevrolet El Camino and Ford Ranchero. It would of most likely had been based off the Coronet body .

WoW. I like the retro car so much. Chevrolet El Camino is one of my favorite. I want to visit the car show this weekend, but I need to solve a problem with my report, I found an original-writing.com. It's great.
