Badgeless 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.

January 21, 2022

This blandest of commercials is exactly why a Chevelle should be the quintessential OPC.

But this ad is the reason why most Chevelle's aren't.

So glad to see y'all back!!! I thought you fell into some sort of coffee PNW vortex. Hope all is well with the families, and I don't see how you have time for this but we are all so appreciative. I love the composition on this one, with the fog creeping up on the anvil of red in the green sea of grass. Outstanding.

Thanks Romans! Great to be back. This spot was a trip. Venturing out into the creepy fog with my kids in an unfamiliar part of Portland. But this is what we have to do keep digging up OPCs :-)

Neat find. This particular Chevelle may be badgeless from the factory. There was a standard Chevelle available in 1970 below the Malibu. It was devoid of most emblems and exterior trim that was found on the Malibu and SS models. Note the absence of drip rail trim. The first youtube video commercial features this base model Chevelle, which was the cheapest Chevelle in the lineup.
