That pearlescent paint is....interesting.

no pearl, justin. just rainwater over tri-tone primer.

...i suppose the maroon could be original and just dead flat oxidized.

The best crappy paint job you could never even hope to replicate.

Unbelievable in every way, hope you bought yourself a nice lunch after this! First comment posted while in a plane taking off.

actually, I was having a spectacularly stressful day at work and had opted to skip lunch, but then j (my wife) called and said I would need to go home to give her the car. so, after much grumbling, i was on my hurried way, when this appeared, and I had no choice but to pull over and get out the camera. thanks to the delay, i just missed making it over the willamette before the drawbridges were raised for a passing boat. as I sat there waiting with the car turned off, I got out the iPhone to make sure the car had not already been posted by ben, when the "nevermind" text came in from my wife. so I flipped a U into the empty eastbound lanes and speeded back to the office.

oh, I didn't mention the other, MUCH more surprising car that I pulled over to shoot two blocks before this one.

I did fix a celebratory cup of coffee, but we had just run out of cream.

How many purists will truly appreciate the authentic patina on this cruiser?.......glad to see that the owner has resisted the temptation to "rattle can" it Old Skool Black........
