Wow - great condition on this machine. Big ups on this site! Been reading for a couple of months and just responded for the first time.

awesome. I love the tr8's. they have those awesome rover V8's under the hood and they just have great body lines. I would love to take it for a spin to see how well that rover V8 comes alive.

Plaid upholstery? When was plaid ever sexy???

@gwt: the collective of current tr8 owners looking to offload their horrible money pits saw your comment, and every single one of them muttered "...so there IS one born every minute!"

@ sexyhammer: You misunderstood my comment buddy! what's wrong with loving a terrible car? I never proclaimed it was the king of all cars or that I desperately wanted to own one. It is a terrible car in stock form but is that a reason to hate it, no. blame the builders not the car.

800 made that year.
400 left hand drive
400 right hand drive
200 of each rhd/lhd were convertables.
I had an orange hard top. The Rover/Buick engine kicked that car's butt to incredible speeds. Loved it... hated the electric system. There is a hornets nest of wires in a panel on the top center of the dash. Happily I got rid of it many years ago.

when the triumh tr7 debuted italian designer giorgetto giugiaro walked around it and cried 'oh no!' they've done the same to the other side as well!
