The curtains, stacks of clothes, dream-catcher and mountain bike all suggest that someone is enjoying one heckuva West Coast roadtrip. Hence, the "RV's" tag.

I do know they imported some delicas but they are fricken far and few. This one has every fricken option I can dream of. 4wd, Diesel. this thing is fuhking bad-ass. These and the old 4wd Toyo vans. I swear if I can find one that is not to rough it will be my next project.

@ Anonymous & Moltenburn - I believe these were imported to Canada, never directly to the US. Another few years, and this one will be eligible for importation from the Great White North (it's wearing plates from British Columbia in the pix).
I've seen the occasional Delica around Seattle, but they've all had Canadian plates too.

this looks even more like a shuttlecraft than the toyota and nissan vans do. i'd give anything to visit japan with a nice camera and capture these things rusting away in export lots, totally optioned out with racks, bumpers, lights and loud graphics.

These 4WD Delicas are so damn cool.

Yeah, I can't make out the plates, but I would say this came down from north of the border. I know there are some legal imports, but I think these were only sold up in Canada and not down in the USA. I saw several of them over in Japan though, really, really cool. We always get the shaft in the USA when it comes to cool 4x4s. Jeeps are heeps.

these came out in the USA between 1987 to 1989, for sure in SO Cali, but any where else im not sure. I bought one new in 89,It was called a Vanwagon, everywhere else its called a Delica. And yes it is an awsome van. It was 2wd and with a gas motor. I got the most equipped one I could. I sold it about 6 years after I bought it. Now I am looking for another. Looks like I will need to import one. I am finding out now, that everywhere else they are much better than the ones that were sold here. With turbo Diesel motors, manual tranny ,4X4, different roof systems ,and much moor. And sooo roomy inside.
