As far as I'm concerned the Buick Riviera was the Cordoba's competitor . Probably in 78' the Buick was worth more but now I have a hunch that the Chrysler is more sought after.

These things didn't really catch my eye at the time, but now I just love it. Even looks a little mean. Great lines.
I take it Detroit had already started de-tuning engines by '78, so I wonder if any of these were available with big, beastly power plants...

I had two of these and wish I still had them. Nice cars other than some typical Mopar ailments of the time!

Always been a sucker for this gen of Cordoba.
This one looks mean as hell.

mean is right. little too clean to be threatening but it has an aura. if it was less cultivated, i could imagine this thing smelling like the aftermath of a vicious barfight. stale beer and cigarettes, blood piss and vomit mixing with the gas fumes to create a miasma of "fuck off." the dude you see walking towards you on your side of the street and you feel no shame in moving your ass to the opposite side.

then again, the paint looks fresh. it still has a half-decade or so of constant neglect and unplanned excursions into bar ditches to get where it needs to be, assuming the owner is the type of burnout alcoholic who enjoys picking other guys' teeth out of his knuckles and covering the scars with ink.

Wonder what kind of havoc Father Time's ass wreaks on those Corinthian leather seats.

I have no desire to exist in a world where people know not of Corinthian leather.

Dodge Monte Carlo anyone? Been on my list for years
