I think any of us would be very lucky to see one in person before we die, I don't think I'd be able to walk away without talking to the owner and giving some props.

I've seen several but I live in Finland and as far as I know, this is the first country those were exported, starting 1962. It was very old looking model then (being copied from Austin) and success wasn't obvious at that point.

Datsun introduced a totally new model (designed by Pininfarina) for 1964 (similar to picture) and it was a success, it soon grabbed a significant percentage of new car sales and started the invasion on Japan cars. Quite common car in late 60s on the streets.

By 1980s they (Japanese) had 2/3 of the new car sales as Saab was only local manufacturer and Saabs weren't cheap cars even in here.
