I just love seeing old cars, especially clean mint ones, still being used daily! Nice of the owner to let you shoot the interior.

Yes, very special! Amazing condition, and a cool color. Nice how the leather matches the paint.

In the Midwest, Aspens lasted about 3 or 4 years before their fenders rotted out. A buddy of mine in high school used to drive the family Aspen wagon. We thought it was really funny to yell down the hallway of our Christian school, "How's your Aspen?"

guh, that interior is a timewarp.

this perfect post inspires me to say, for all the regulars that read the comments, that the original concept of the blog was much narrower than what it has become. the plan was to highlight the daily drivers of the '60s, '70s, and early '80s that populate our memories of early childhood.

this makes me want to go watch No Country For Old Men just to look at the cars.

Awesome. Talk about a mint example, the interior is perfect.

oooh man, those seats look so big and comfortable. that would be a good car to take a road trip in. and if you look directly in back of the aspen in the first pic you can see the 1970 Toyota Hilux that was taken in January. it's great to see a shot like that.

My Parents had one exactly like this, even the same color "carmel Tan" with the white vinyl roof. Brings back great memories.

Clean original.

The roof is tan.

seriously, what were the circumstances here? did you take these photos while borrowing my truck or something?

i only remember you borrowing it one time and finding it completely unreliable. fyi, it runs a lot better these days. you should borrow it agin.
