FC stands for Forward Control. Great find.

These are insanely rare--I can't remember ever seeing one. Super cool though. Love the classic Jeep face plastered on the big flat front. Also, the contrast of the modern-ish cab with the super old looking bed (it looks like it's from a wagon!)

Look at that patina....sweet.

I'd heard of the Jeep Forward Control, but I'd never actually seen one in real life until I went to the Half Century of Progress Show in Rantoul, IL last weekend ( vintage/antique agricutural equipment) and saw a beautifully restored FC-170 with a 9-foot grain box. Just as we were leaving on Saturday, we saw it again in an Arby's parking lot...four guys had stopped in for lunch, and drove back the the show grounds (at the Rantoul Airport, BTW) with two of them "hiding" in the box!

For the record, this is a 1958.

That would be considered junk if it was anything else because of how rusty the cab is! Very cool truck though!!
