This has to be one of those "too good to be true" scenarios where the owner knows what he has, but leaves the car unmolested solely out of a sense of irony rather than an obligation to purism. Like the dude that puts fake barf on his shirt and insists there's nothing out of the ordinary about his attire. Or maybe the guy that parks his Ferrari at the back of the lot for a car show but walks around saying "did you see that Ferrari?" in a sideways manner to drum up interest.

"Oh this old thing? It's just some Toyota compact. Gets me from A to B. I think I paid $500 for it because I don't really even need a car."

Just can't get into the japanese 80's or 70's cars...i think they are all ugly and with ungalvanized cheap japanese steel? no thank you.
