Ironic automobile. Listening to former GM execs, this is when they literally gave the small car market to the Japanese. The Fiesta (eurocar) the Sprint and Luv (Isuzus) the Colt (Mitsubishi) it's such a shame that Corporate thinkers were so willing to give the market away. A few years earlier, if the Chevette was marketed a little harder or differently we all might be driving gas sippers.
Hey, I've got one of those. Well, not quite, mine's the Suzuki original, and it's two years older. Great little cars! People these days can't believe a car can be so tiny.

It's so ironic that Chevy called this car the "Sprint." It had a 1 liter three cylinder engine and 12-inch tires. Not exactly performance equipment.

@ The Professor-The Sprint Turbo, however, definitely deserves the nameplate.
Sweet find, non-turbo Sprints are even rarer than Turbos.

The Chevette needed more than good marketing...trust me.
