I can't believe how much of that original paint is still on the bumpers. Also like how those tail light chiclets pop.

I remember reading that these had some ridiculous design flaw that would cause them to lose oil pressure and self-destruct at ~80,000 miles. Wonder how this one survived.

Think this model was the main reason offers 100k warrantys on their new cars.

Crisp Giugiaro design makes up for the occasional flaw underneath. But really, it's all Mitsubishi bits in the engine bay, so no major issues there given good maintenance - the higher grade of assembly quality is the biggest improvement on modern Hyundais. This one is in amazing shape - original wheel covers, even!
