When I was a boy in the 1970s my brother's best friend's dad sold Fords. And so he drove home in a different Ford every night. The night he drove home in one of these every kid in the neighborhood, which was approximately 418 of us, came running to see the Starsky and Hutch car!

Apparently, the kids still flock to this car. Even though they have no idea who Starsky or Hutch were.

Starsky drove a '75 I think. Ford dealers sold them in '76. 1974-1976 Gran Torinos were identical, the '73 has a different grille, a whole different rear clip, and minimal side moldings. I can tell a '74 from '75-'76 only by the steering wheel, on '75 and up Fords the spokes were curved down to allow a better view of the dash cluster. I preferred Hutch's beater '74 Galaxie, much more character. LOL>

Plastering the Starsky&Hutch "striped tomato" look on a '73 is just...wrong. Sorry, it's just wrong.

Not wrong, just inaccurate. Still looks good.
No profile shot without the little tikes?

The shot will all the kids is genius. Really puts this in context. In the context, that is, of an apartment building parking lot.
