That rear door shape is way ahead of its time.

That is a VERY rare site. Especially on the street. Great find.

Those fenders were WILD. Even in their day when new.

Oh! I bought that car new. Well, probably not that car, but one just like it. Drove it 95,000 trouble-free miles.

Did they have an Evo version back then?

Badass banner picture.

It doesn't get any better than this. Probably one of the hippest cars in the world. Far hipper than any, say, Citroen or 5-series BMW or Mercedes or muscle car...

Just my .02

One hell of a design, Exner really knew what he was doing.

We walk by this car often, saw it while watching the Swifts at the school just a few days ago!

Well, that's a rarity. Awesome find, won't see a Lancer again for a while. Something neat though, the wheels almost look like wheels off a late 70s Pontiac Sunbird.

these feel to me like the pontiac aztek of the 1960s. so unfathomably ugly, so rare today, and yet has a total vintage "daily driver" vibe.

love the paint oxidized to an almost flat finish. i don't see any sign of rust.

pontiac aztek 2001 - 2005 truly ugly

the weird fenderlines look much better on the more subdued plymouth fury of the same vintage. i see this car and immediately think of the type of clown that would buy it and drive it back in '62.
