I think that this could be a Typhoon model. The addition of the black in the side trim and rear decklid applique is why I think this. The grille could have been replaced.

Wrong side trim for a Typhoon. Typhoon had trim all the way down the side, a badge up front and a "Tyhoon" in fancy script in back. Typhoon introduced the "New" 232 CID six a huge improvement on the old 195.6 "Flying Scot" six.

Look at the enlargement of the bottom picture. The side trim along the body is missing. Granted the "Typhoon" script is missing. It also does not say "Classic" or "Rambler" either. I like the '64s alot. My family had so many of them. All 4 door models, two tones & A/C (we lived in the South). The Ambassador to a ditch at a high rate of speed and broke the A-frame.
