This car is like KC & the sunshine band...It's so cheezy that it's awesome.

Whoa, pretty blatant Cordoba clone. Didn't know these existed.

That is all stock. A neighbor had one many years ago. Pretty car!

Not stock, those wheels are Centerline Indys.

With that two-tone paint, cheesey "CHARGER DAYTONA" lettering down the sides, lowered stance, and the obscurity of being a "sporty" badge-engineered Cordoba, I want it. It looks pretty cool in its own, malaise-y way. I'd love to cruise around in this thing.

pretty cool to see one of these on the street. anon #1 said it pretty well, it's so weird or tacky that it's cool to some people. this gets a best of 2014 nomination from me.

Looks like something a white supremacist would drive.

Why not put the Cordoba tag on this? Have you guys given any thought to the question of whether to tag clones as their clones?

Do you think the paint is stock? Or did someone invest in a repaint of this thing?

Not bad at all for a late 70s US car, but then I look at -69 Charger and wonder wtf they were thinking when that evolved into this.

Maybe it's just me.

Like butter. I cant believe there's a cordoba beneath this raw ass car.

Pure RUBBISH... a Malaise era "No-balls" pimpmobile using the iconic Charger name.

I don't know what's worse, THIS or the Omni 024 based FWD Charger.

Didn't take much for Dodge to discontinue this car in 1978, to make way for the SAME bodied car, but different headlight treatment, the Dodge Magnum.

Yeah Anon, that is the factory paint. A friend of mine had a '78 Dodge Magnum XE.
His was all loaded up like that. Looks like this one has the factory T-tops too. Those
wheels are not standard issue. I think that the original rims looked like the ones you saw on early '70's Chargers. Think they called them Rallye rims I want that car.

Way to bum down a way cool car. Do you automatically assume that people of a certain demographic drive a certain car? If so you are no better than those with with whom you are ignorantly judging

I second that! Loved this when I saw it. My BIL had a '79 Cordoba that was sharp--
but not like this. Tried to buy his to save it from the crusher after his nephew blew
the engine, but I was too late. Perhaps our bigoted friend should take some diversity
courses.

well the only thing on these that is different from the 69 charger is the OUTER body and the front k-member is slightly different with better components. The motor was chocked down a little but they out handle the older chargers and mine has 11" drums on the back and nearly 12" disks up front. The car walked all over the maros and rustangs with the stock 400 which had only 305 lb-ft but the curve was almost flat so it was deceiving.
I had many good times in mine which is light blue where that one is grey and dark blue where that one is black.
Mine is in the midst of a resto-mod and will be a pro touring car when I am done.
I bought the car in 1991 and am the second owner.

Wow, I thought true Daytona's were only '69.
