Yep, I remember that era. The last days of Datsun. Although I know the company is still around. The name has changed to Nissan, I still remember that era. This was when the other Japanese auto makers especially Honda and Toyota started to upscale they're models.

I still remember the era when "they're" was different than "their." Yep, I remember that era.

It was also the end of the indestructable Datsun as well. '79 was the last year for that
"Never die" drivetrain these cars were famous for. Seemed to me that as Datsun/Nissan
entered the '80's, much of that legendary quality went out the window. I recall a young
man I knew had an '83 Stanza sedan that he had just bought new. The ink wasn't even
dry on the loan agreement when the front drive mechanism suffered a major failure. It
only got worse from there as he got stiffed for the repair bills even though he had the
full factory warrantee. Since then, I'll never own a Nissan!

Washington front/Oregon rear. Weird.

That is one mint 210. Love the paintjob (and the immaculate pinstriping) and the hubcaps.

as the owner of a 1995 Nissan Altima with 320k miles on original engine.i gotta say that nissans after 1987 are pretty tough cars.so the news is not all that bad.

I can't exactly remember what our first car looked like, but that was the most reliable and steadfast car ever owned and makes me not at all scared of buying another one some day. These are a great look. And this is about the best looking of them all. The red is a bit happier than the common blue.
