As well as the Dodge Dart of that era. Slant six. Can't kill 'em if you wanted to!

we're huge fans of the slant six, jdg. we have an informal goal of keeping a dart or valiant on the front page at all times.

My family owned a 75 valiant just like this one. Complete piece of garbage. stalled out constantly, the catalytic converter used to emit a rotten egg smell into the passenger compartment, almost killed me when one of the front tie rods broke in half when i was making a left turn. The day my Dad totaled it was one of the happiest days of my life because i didn't have to drive it anymore.

This is a 1974 model, not a 1975 (re: grille).

I had a '75 Valiant Brougham.....really sharp car. Metallic green, with green vinyl roof and green velour interior. Unfortunately, like another poster mentioned, it stalled CONSTANTLY. When you first started it, it would chug and chug, trying to get going. That's what happened when Chrysler slapped pollution controls on their previously good slant 6. My aunt had a Dart that did the same, so it wasn't just my car.
