Wow, that is my car!!! Its a '79 Btw. Got the car free, and I always wanted a TurboDiesel 240, so I built it. Engine from an '85 740 turbodiesel. Did a bit of modification to the cross member to get the engine to fit correctly.
Kevin, I love the front end on this car! What car did you get the headlights/grill/hood from? I have an 81' DL Wagon and I am VERY interested in doing this to mine. Was there very much fabrication required? Or was it all bolt-on?
I'm not sure if Kevin is subscribed to these comments, but you should have no problem finding or swapping those exterior parts. That's one element of 200 series Volvos that I really appreciate.
Or are you considering the engine swap? Because I can't speak to that.
Update: this turbodiesel is still going, engine is a bit more tired now, i have another to put in but time and health and family get in the way. Still love it, i have been pushing 15psi boost on a recently rebuilt and modified injection pump. Friggin a blast to drive. It always leaves its mark.

Awesome Kevin, thanks for the tip! Your wagon is a one of a kind, I couldn't pass it up. How does it drive slammed on those big wheels and tires?
