Hoooo the hidden headlights set that whole front stance OFF. Sweet to see a big menacing coupe in red too!

68? Hmmmmm, came out around the time alotta cars in Detroit were using hidden headlights... Pontiac GTO, Ford T-bird, Dodge Charger. Looking at the styling, it looks like it's rival was the 68-70 Charger. Nice car.

XLent comments comparing it to the out-of-reach overpriced muscle cars. I have a 68 XL $500 Convertible; according to the VIN it was born with a 428 but for some reason it has a 302 now. I know an old guy who had a 428 wagon - in the day - said it got 8 MPG, maybe that's why? 160 mile range..?! And man, do these cars ever RUST. The body AND the frame have rust-thru and rear body has had major repairs... TWICE...

This is my car. I was eating down at the cafe down the street when you took it. I am rebuilding the engine currently with .40 bored over and an rv cam. The paint is all original same with the engine and everything besides a 650cfm 4bbl carb. I get 10mpg and it has a fuel cell in the back. Ill post some pics of the rebuild on here!
