This thing lives a few blocks from me, and the owner is very committed to using it this way. I enjoy seeing it less and less every time.

are you saying he is actually using it like a pickup? or does he keep this same configuration of stuff strapped to his car out of cleverness?

Like unto a pickup. I usually see it with a trunk full of lawn mowers. Plural. And yes it's always sitting that low.

The sad part is they actually had an El Camino version of this Fairmont Futura. It is very rare, though. Usually, some guys throw 5.0 engines into these cars, which are also built on the Fox body chassis, as the 79 to 93 Mustangs. What a waste of a Futura. lol
