1974, not 1975. The 1975-1976 Cougar has two cutouts in the front bumper. I heard once that this was because the 1974s were slightly prone to overheating. I don't know if the cutouts really help with cooling, but I will say that the 1974 Cougar I own (without quite this much patina) has overheated a couple times.

As 74' Cougar owners do you know were I can find body parts for it? I feel like I have looked everywhere.

I have a 74 cougar and I’m gonna keep it forever I found it in Ambridge pa and I did a lot of Cleveland and it had 24000 miles on it and they stored it 1976 till I got it 3 years ago I need a front bumper and a drivers clear turn signal lens. Some dick has a good lens for 300$. Come on ! My car is in a magazine and a story I now have 40,000 I love it no rust Lucas everywhere but radiator is new and most everything is a beautiful car and women love it wish Garage squad would help me out as I have got disability from Railroad I have no help Got rid of most of my tools thanks to thieves. I got k 9 s and Riot special. Fired ADT they have one person working at night and somehow they it’ my fault They call on phone when I’m not home and want to know if I need police I could be dead and not their fault! Then Safeco’s depreciate my dads ww2 things hidden used my ladder and took it. 500 deductible least thieves moved !
