My father has an '87, it was my grandfather's and some day will be mine.

Sporty lil' C Pillar and trunk. Nice little guy, definitely a nice design for the time period. Designers clearly still clinging to a lot of what was great about the 80s.

I'm surprised there are any of these left running. Notoriously unreliable. Terrible engines. The ones they sold in Canada all collapsed within a couple of years.

Just don't try to fix one. No bolts - all welded together. Worked at Gorges VW / Volvo in the mid 90s' and we wouldn't take em on trade.

BTW, a correction: it's not 1990, but 1991 due to the slim headlights! Nice car, though!
