When the owner asked what I was doing, and I told him how much I liked old cars. He said, "Hey, this is a 1990." I couldn't believe it.

He also said it's got a 450 V8, and when I asked him if it was a good car, "It's purely a work vehicle" was the only response I got. But I could tell he had a lot of respect for this wagon.

The fender flares are really breaking the 4th wall on this one. Not wood? Say it ain't so!

1990 is old when it looks like '81.

My girlfriend had an '89. What an ungodly tank. It can haul an apartment in 2 trips (and a full tank of gas!). It's a crying shame that the imitation wood veneer decals don't stand the test of time- you really think you're driving a woody. The absolute best feature is the door-swing tailgate. It makes the move that much more luxurious.

@Dave-After all, it is an "Estate" wagon.
Loving the wood grain, and those wheels remind me of Turbocast II's.

This was my first car, an 89 that was tan with wood. Good ol' olds 307 with 219,000 miles and still carb'd in 89-90. My favorite part was the gear selector was like a round gas gauge with a center needle that pivoted from prndl, it was so cool.
