amazing patina. this past weekend in miami, there was an artist at art basel that had paintings of old parked cars from the '70s and '80s malaise era, exactly like this blog.

Whaaa? Can't say I've ever seen one of these before. Perfect for tidying up my country estate if indded I should ever get one.

really, who wouldn't want one of these?

and thanks for posting that gov't exempt document. i suppose you did that because, like me, you know that there's been kind of an import craze on these recently. guys will bring them over, paint them "lazy camo" and put ugly mini-skank tank 4x4 wheels and knobby tires on them then sell them as deer lease rides for upwards of $6k US.

which is stupid. this one's been around since at LEAST '88, which lends both the truck and owner some valuable legitimacy. bet this truck WORKED during its time stateside. the plain white paint and stake bed are perfect. as someone who made do with electric and gas open cab carts during my part-time landscaping days, i'd have killed for one of these to drive around instead. now that i'm firmly established in the adult-job corporate world, i'd still kill to have one.

@sexyhammer: "...gov't exempt document.."

As a foreigner I've no idea what is the significance of this, could you please clarify?

(Or someone else, thank you).
