Wow, crazy complete trim. Survivors don't get much better than this. Beautiful light coming off what I hope is the kwik-e-mart.

The front and back angles really make visibility look exemplary. Impressive panel gap around that hood.

1981 is the first year for that bodystyle (i had a GLC Sport), 1985 is the last.

thanks, anon. i see that the rear side windows and tailgate glass hav sharp corners, compared with the rounded edges of the previous generation. cool!

'81 was the first year for front wheel drive on the GLC, and car magazines of the day gave it good reviews. I bought one like that in the picture, and drove it for almost 14 years - it truly was a Great Little Car. As "anonymous" expected, outward visibility was very good.
