What a quirky yet beautifully preserved car! I'd drive this in a heartbeat. This might be an older car due to lack of a CHMSL.

oh wow, a first gen pulsar, look at those square angled lines it seems like the whole nx line follows some short of geometric shape dating back all the way to it's predecessors the E10 cherry x-1 and the cherry f2 a.k.a. the Datsun f-10. even though I like the nx 1600/2000 more, I still think this is a very cool and interesting machine with awesome lines and ample character. I always thought that it was weird that it had a back seat, it looks as if there is no leg room for the people who sit back there. I love the rear end shot showing off that square design element in the huge block taillights. If this car doesn't scream 80's I don't know what does, the more I look at it the more I love it.

Miss seeing these so much. They've even vanished from CA.

Good luck finding the Sportback!

Can't be an '86. No CSL.

In 1986, I acquired a used 1983 Datsun/Nissan Pulsar. In the early 1990's, when my dad hit a rough patch financially, I sold it to him for a song. A week later, he sold it for three times what he had paid; without offering me a chance to buy it back. I have owned about a dozen cars since then and that old Pulsar is still my favorite.
