This Bertone project was called "Tre Kroner" (three crowns), after the national emblem of Sweden, and commemorated Volvo's 50th anniversary.

The 262C is sex. I call it "The Swedish Barge".

This was my first car. (hand me down from very generous parents!) It was really beautiful, the interiors were really great. Gathered leather- very custom! Loved this car.

Those landau roofs on the Volvo coupe look so gangsta.

Ordinary 242 or 244 was called "a brick" or "Swedish brick" around here. :)

262C is and was so rare that it has no nicknames.

So I was looking online to find an example of my car to show to someone, and came across this one and thought the area looked familiar...realized it is my actual car! It's actually a 1978 (from my experience, the 1978 lost the lip on the trunk and was flush with the rear) though the PRV engine has been replaced with a standard 240 engine. Not original but still a great daily runner!
