Color and the dog dishes fit the car perfectly.

Dual exhaust, woohoo!

Tantalizing face, good call on that exhaust Dan! I love Dodge Darts, but I'd hate to have to pick between owning a Dart and a Special. What a beautiful color.

Anyone else think that angle on those tail lights/corners is somehow not particularly flattering though? Maybe I just need to get used to it.

Where i live, in Brazil, Minas Gerais, this car is so rare!!! I saw three in a car club. I love these sedan luxury cars!!

i really had to push that iphoto "saturation" slider to keep blogger's image compression from turning these images to just a washed-out gray, and they're still pretty bleak, but i feel like the dismal dusky light and soggy ground are kind of in keeping with the car's essence.

My first car was a '64 Special sedan. Three-speed on the column, Fireball V6 and seating for 14 of your closest friends. Ah, the good ol' days...

I have one of these in a little better shape. It's a bitch to find parts.
If anybody knows where I can find parts for this car, please let me know.

This one is the lowest trim-level model with few options. The Special, Special Deluxe, and then the top trim-level Skylark with more luxury and bright work. It lacks wheel-lip moldings and lower-body side-trim. The original wheel covers or hub caps are not present. Many of these had vinyl floor covering and not carpet. A budget Buick, when new.
