Oh Honda - why have you lost your way? This is what the CR-Z should be - not that hybrid sports-car wanna-be you currently have not selling on your lots.

The CR-Z is shit compared to this.

This, on the other hand is awesome.

Look at the condition! A mint condition 1st gen CRX?! And, even better, there's 2 of 'em in Oregon, both immaculate.

"Pocket Rocket" as it was sometimes called.

I owned one of these, an '85. Bought it from an engineer who just accepted a job at GM and couldn't be caught driving a Japanese car.

Sitting in the driver's seat I could touch the windshield and the rear window AT THE SAME TIME. Choppy ride, sure, but pure driving dynamics, fun and terrific mileage. It drove like a little terrier -- it loved zipping around, was eager to please and begged for more fun.

I miss "The CeRviX", as college-aged me called it.

These things were such fun little things to drive that I recall hearing the CRX held the record for the highest number of insurance claims (probably for accidents, as most were driven hard, but I imagine a lot were stolen back in the day too).

This one looks really nice. I remember a teenage co-worker of mine had one just like this in 1989 when we were both 16 and newly licensed. He drove a sporty blue CRX and I drove a hand-me-down poop brown 78 Ford Pinto (NOT cool back then).

That's my car! I bought it about a month ago, saving it from the scrappers. Put a new motor in it, and lots of other stuff too!
