I had one similar ti this, a PL620. The carrier bearing was shot, but I drove it for many miles. Great truck.
These old Datsuns are tough! I had a 1970 1600 roadster that I brought back from the grave and those little engines are strong, but the sheet metal on Datsuns from this era is very thin! It's great to see this has survived as well as it has over the years.
Nice find Tony! Japanese truckin' at it's finest! Reminds me of the ad that our local Datsundealer ran on TV. It featured this truck. You're right, wyowanderer, these were tough little trucks. You could commit general mayhem with this truck and would always come back for more. The clutch and trannies were VERY forgiving. My only regret is that I couldn't see wellenough to drive one of them. I can only look at this once in a while. I'm diabetic and this is one very sweet ride! Thanks Tony, this really made my day.
what a nice Volvo behind this piece of shhhh.
Aw c'mon Anon! You have to admit that this 'un's in near-perfect shape. I know I certainly wouldn't turn it down. It still looks good even after 40 years.
No Kidding, Cap'n. Who the hell really cares about 850 series...240 or nuthin'.
That Volvo is very sharp for a wagon, maybe Tony or Ben will make a future post of it. As for the truck, it's an old man's trip down memory lane.
These little Datsun pickups are legendary, only the tin worm can kill them.
