I always thought this car looked like something Kurt Vonnegut would draw.

Which is good.

Considering he used to sell Saabs.

I spotted this Peugeot less than 3 minutes after this Suburban, we could all use a little more of that luck!

I can't think of any other little saloons that survived into the mid 70s with so much class. But then again, I can imagine it being a little hard to remain an excited and convincing Peugeot salesman when the same basic car was sold for from 1960-1975.

Heck, I wonder how hard it was to sell these in Kenya, where they were produced until nineteen ninety ONE.

yeah, this thing has class coming out its ears. it'd be sweet to be driving one of these and when someone asks, tell em, "oh, it's a '91."

what a face, what a grill!

often, when i'm driving somewhere with my wife and kids in the car, the cars i see and want to photograph are a source of, shall we say, marital disunity. "you want to shoot that??" my wife will say.

other times, it's a very cool bonding moment. "oooooh, that's cute," she'll say, and we kind of connect over the fantasy of having a car like that of our own to have and use.

last night we were running late and were in a particular hurry to meet up with family out-of-towners at the chapman swifts.

i buzzed around a corner and caught a glimpse of that grill, and my head whipped around so fast it nearly snapped off my shoulders. "holyshitwhatwasthat?" i asked rhetorically.

"hurry, go shoot it!" jaime answered.

i fumbled for my camera and commented, "i think ben may have shot this already."

"go, go," she said.

it's just such a cool feeling when she recognizes the importance of a particular car.

I'm curious to know why you've labelled this 404 sedan a 'saloon'...
Do you imagine it's a British make, (sorry)'brand?
Or are you chaps staunch Anglophiles, or what?
