Wait, what? They made a 5 door hatch? I've never seen this variant. Must be pretty damn rare.
Hyundai was huge in the 80s, I think we can all agree that they owned that decade and this was the apex of that tidal wave. But man, it must be made of some tough plastic to be so intact. Or maybe owned by a granny and kept in a garage since purchase? I really don't want to know what this car is like to drive, no thank you.
Ahh the precursour to the Accent and Elantra. I Love my Hyundai <3
The car that almost cost Hyundai it's future in the US auto market. Now, look at them... their cars are pretty reliable, now.Who woulda thought they'd straightened up their act... certainly, not the big Detroit 3, that's for sure. Now, Hyundai is laughing all the way to the bank. lol
It seemed to me that Hyundai improved their product by building their own engines. I had three of these cars (a blue '87 4 door sedan, a gray '87 5 door hatchback, and a red '89 sedan.) All three of them came with Mitsubishi Mirage/Precis Dodge Colt engines.
