Sweet, the body stripe really sets off the lines quite nicely. A lot of people dismiss the 4-door A-bodies from this era, but they really are nice cars. I should know...my DD is a '68 270!
yes, cm! absolutely uncelebrated, but we love them. our boyhood family car was a val that got crushes by a semi (and saved our lives). a long time later, i owned a dart that died halfway between portland and seattle when i, apparently, ran it out of oil. it had no obvious leaks or excessive smoke, but always seemed to be losing oil, and the couple-hundred mile trip did it in. i often wonder how long it would have survived, has i just checked the dipstick the last time i stopped for gas.
Just bought this very car, paint has gotten a bit worse on the street. Parked in roughly the same area for over a decade I believe. Previous owner said windshield stayed ok until 2024 when a branch fell on it (or a pebble from a passing car, I'll have to ask again. Not visible in the pictures is the passenger side, where it seems the rear right side got damaged at some point and was bonded. Old bondo, with the trapped moisture issues common pre-2000s, so it'll have to get fixed. It's not bad from the trunk view, so it's very likely fine, just needs treatment and less caustic bondo. Left lower rear quarter behind the fender seems to have gotten some splash over the years and has the only rust on the car that may need a little repair - there is a pinhole. But everything around it seems solid, so we will see once rust is removed, it's likely that panel will stay and just a portion will be fixed. I'm sure this may disappoint some, but I'm sorry, I tried to love the color but couldn't, if it is to be mine, it'll have to obtain a black gloss exterior paint job. Interior is fine. Interior got reupholstered after an oil mishap carpet and seats are black, but the dark turquoise on the dash and details will stay. It has a 273 and Chrysler 7.25 2.94 rear axle, a 3 speed 727 torqueflite automatic. Pretty amazing to see an outside kept car in such condition, total credit to the previous owners who kept good care of it considering, and kept it running and driving. It's now waiting on a new fan so I can fix the water pump, which seems to be the only mechanical issue, with some very loose worn bearings. Leaks a little oil for now. Plan is to very lightly modify it to make a true sort of a GT car, adding a little sway bar, front disk brakes, better shocks., a bit of cam, better exhaust and carb, a better rear axle (but not a hardcore drag build). It should be comfy and well set up enough for a mildly spirited drive appropriate for a 60s car along the mountain or river roads we've got. But that 273 is staying and some variety of 273 or a518 will be in it. No crazy wheels. Again, I apologize to the lovers of the color, it is just not something I can live with. Lord willing, excited to start a new chapter in its life and feel blessed and thankful to own it. Even tho it is just a 4 door dart 😁

i'd drive the he'll out of one today.
Why does it have a Plymouth hood ornament?
Circular side view mirror. Always win
Ah yes, the proverbial "lil ole lady" car.
That thing prolly only moves on Bingo night. lmao
went looking for a picture of my very first car, and here it is. And yes, I bought it from a little old lady who hardly ever drove it.
