Love this car, the quirky styling is what makes the car for me.

best of 2011.

that profile is destined for the banner.

bridgetownblog posted another crazy datsun with letters in its name recently and blew my mind. my first glance at this one, i thought, "no way that's in portland." and sure enough, there's the "not portland" tag. i wonder where mao found his.

My college roommate had one of these, and we took the best road-trip ever in 1988, from Minnesota to sunny southern California in November and December. The greatest attribute about that car was that the passenger side was completely smashed in from an accident, so the passenger had to climb in from the driver's side. We got lots of funny looks, but it drove great. Great car. Great friend. Great memories.

in 79 they changed the model designation from F-10 to 310. the previous style is still somewhat there but its toned down a little to look more normal. now the 76-78 f-10 fastbacks were the most uniquely styled cars Datsun had at the time.
those taillights on the hatchback were so big and bold they just screamed look at me. most people called these cars ugly, I call them crazy cool.

This was my first car.I cut the roof off and drove it as a targa. what a hoot. the best thing about the car was the straight cut tranny gears that whined like a turbo with every shift.
